$22,000 Vertu Android phone? Sure!
Do you want to stand out from the crowd? Is the HTC One M8 or LG G3 not premium enough for you? Fear no more, Vertu has an answer for you with their new Signature Touch Android smartphone. For those of you not familiar with Vertu, they are an ultra luxury phone manufacturer that was set up by Nokia in 1998. They are recognized by their iconic angular styling and incredibly high prices.
All of Vertu’s phones cost multiple thousand dollars a piece and come with a personal concierge service that is available 24/7, anywhere in the world, at a touch of a button (complementary for 1 year). The Signature Touch is their latest flagship model and comes with a long list of mouth watering features. As far as technical specs go, the Signature Touch is a top-tier device running a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes with a 4.7 inch 1080p display, 64GB storage, LTE, NFC and Qi wireless charging.
Thats where the similarities with your phone end.
The Signature Touch comes with a 13-megapixel back camera and a 2.1-megapixel front camera, developed by renowned camera maker Hasselblad. The speakers are developed in partnership with luxury audio-house Bang & Olufsen and the ringtones are produced by the London Symphony Orchestra.
The base model starts at $10,300 with the basic titanium frame and leather options. The maxed out “Pure Jet Red Gold” model will cost you a money-minting $21,900, at which point you will probably just tell them to keep the change, because you couldn’t be bothered carrying a single $100 bill around.
