Every week, Top Mobile Trends features a dating app. Online (and mobile app) Dating has increased in popularity over the years, and seems to be part of the dating norm now. This week, our Featured Best Dating App is Let’s Date.
As is becoming the norm, to access Let’s Date you need to log in with Facebook in the hope of deterring scammers. Profiles must have at least 50 friends and be active for at least 1 year, as a further deterrent. They also ban people from using or rejoining the app if they creep others out. After logging in you create your own dating card – kind of like old school Baseball cards and fill them in with the standard information as well as a bit more “in-depth” information about interests and hobbies – or pigeonholes as Let’s Date calls them.
When browsing you can select “Let’s Date” and they’ll put your card near the top of their deck, if there’s a spark they’ll suggest a date and you can start messaging each other. If you don’t, then you click No, Thanks. The unique part about this app is that you can cross out what you don’t like about a person’s dating profile to help Let’s Date bring you better matches.
Personally, I like this dating app. It’s kind of like Tinder’s more mature older brother that bases matches on your profile and not just proximity.
At this time Let’s Date is only available in the Apple App Store.
