Codename Superman, Nokia’s Windows Phone to be Released Soon
Even though Nokia is being absorbed by Microsoft, signs are still abundant that the NOKIA brand is still very much alive and won’t be dying. Recently, Nokia announced three phones: the Lumia 930, the Lumia 630 and the Lumia 635. And there are chances that the launching spree is likely to continue with the new Nokia Windows phone. According to the latest rumors, Nokia is due for releasing a new Windows Phone called Codename Superman.
Information coming from Evleaks indicates that, along with Codename Superman, Nokia is also preparing other phones it has named after characters from popular fictional characters. The other new devices refer to Ara, Moonraker, Leo, Onyx Pedridot, Vintage and Tesla. Apart from the names, nothing has been known yet about these upcoming phones.
However, the new phone Codename Superman is expected to have a 5-Megapixel front camera—another big leap forward in Nokia’s mobile camera technology.
An anonymous source spoke to the Verge and indicated that the phone will most likely be a midrange mobile phone with a 4.7 inch screen display. The source also did point out that the new phone will not be out until later this year.
Nokia follows the footsteps of the likes of HTC One M8 that already features a 5-megapixel camera above the screen. Another phone with similarly high-pixel phone includes Huawei Ascend G6 and Ascend P6, Blu Life Pro and Lenovo Vibe X.
Some of the rumor mills also indicate that apparently the phone has been in development since last year, only that people did not pay attention. The new phone is so sleek that you’ll only need to wave your hands above its screen, and it will scroll.
It is unknown whether these new phones will come out under different names when Nokia finally decides to launch them.
