I have a confession to make – I’m a crowd sourcing-fanatic and a smart phone addict. I am all to familiar with the sudden feeling of dread that comes with the “low battery” notification. All you can do is press “OK” and cross your fingers that it will last until you find a charger…and an outlet. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across the Hustle Bag, while trolling indiegogo.
Hustle are a husband and wife team from Sydney, Australia. The inspiration for the Hustle Bag came from Lisa’s busy schedule including motherhood, running her business, managing her social media addiction and the resulting drained smartphone battery. Her husband John, who has experience in business and investment, an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for new technology, set the “wheels in motion to develop a solution.”
Not only is the Hustle Bag a thing of technological beauty, but the Hustle team have considered aesthetics as well, with a range of colors and styles to suit all needs, male and female.
For the women, there’s the Hustle Clutch, small enough to fit into any larger bag, but stylish enough to act as stand-alone clutch. For the men, the wallet is designed to hold your cards, cash and travel documents while simultaneously powering your phone. When the phone charging capability isn’t needed, you can simply pull out the middle section and you’re set – no need to swap everything from one wallet to the other.
With the ability to charge your phone from 0 to 100%, up to 4 times, the bag is both extremely useful and equally fashionable. When it’s time to charge your Hustle Bag, simply place it on the Hustle charge pad and the wireless induction technology will get to work.
Starting at $119 (plus $20 international shipping from Australia), the Hustle team are estimating delivery to be September 2013.
The best part about this particular crowd sourced item? If they don’t receive all the required funds by the deadline, you’ll still receive your Hustle goodie, (just maybe not the color you wanted).
I’m now counting down until I don’t need to carry my phone charger around with me “just in case”.
