If you know someone who’s single, chances are they are using or have used Tinder, but according to GlobalWebIndex’s survey, at least a third of Tinder users are in a relationship, so how to find out if your girlfriend is on Tinder?
Tinder has argued that the percentage of married on Tinder is much lower, tweeting about it last year:
Our actual data says that 1.7% of Tinder users are married — not 30% as the preposterous GlobalWebIndex article indicated.

How to Find Out if Your Girlfriend is on Tinder – Swipe Buster:
Well, a developer who likes to maintain his anonymity created a website that accesses Tinder’s API to retrieve specific data about a person. It’s called Swipe Buster and requires you to enter a first name, age and location to pull information on anyone that matches those parameters.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the creator said, “A lot of people are going to be like ‘WHAT!,’ and hopefully a lot of people are going to be more careful, and Tinder is going to say we have to XYZ to protect API…”
“I think the positive outcome [is that] a company is going to be protective of its users,” they said.
“We’re expecting it to be quite impactful, and a lot more people will realize what kind of data they have online.”
These statements have been met with controversy, as some think it’s a copout to tear down the veil of privacy as a means of developing higher security on user privacy. Seems a little unjust, right?
The main reason it seems unjust is because the creator charges for this service. Currently it costs at least $6.99 to search for your partner on Swipe Buster. Do you suspect your girlfriend of cheating enough to pay to use this service?
This comes down to a trust thing. Regardless of the reasoning behind Swipe Buster’s creation, it’s reassuring to know there’s a tool out there if you do want peace of mind. But when you start entering your credit card details into a website to check up on your girlfriend’s online activity – have you gone down a dark path you cannot return from?
Where do you draw the line? Will you move onto following her to and from work in a long parker and sunglasses? Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate your suspicions.
Save some money and have a conversation. Or not – it’s up to you, thanks to Swipe Buster you have the option.
