InkCase Plus: the Second Screen for Android Phone

Do you know how to improve battery life of your smartphone? The best way is to attach a second screen. With the low-power second screen, you do not have to turn your main display on when you want to use your phone. A new Kickstarter project, InkCase Plus, can be a helpful companion of your smartphone.

InkCase Plus comes with a 3.5-inch display, a built-in battery that offers 19 hours of continuous screen time, an electronic chip and a Bluetooth support.  This secondary e-ink display can be attached in a phone case. The information transfer between your smartphone and this little device is via Bluetooth system.

You can use a FitCase to hold the InkCase Plus and your smartphone together. A FitCase is a leather case that is designed exclusively for InkCase Plus. InkCase Plus serves as a protective case when used with a FitCase.

InkCase Plus has two key unique strengths. First, it uses E Ink technology to reduce battery strain. E Ink doesn’t require any power for displaying, so it has much longer uptime than a smartphone. The 19-hour continuous screen time allowed to read 3400 pages non-stop. With an InkCase Plus, you will never watch your smartphone’s battery drain away while reading an ebook.

Second,  InkCase Plus offers you a comfortable reading experience. If you’ve ever used a Kindle, you know the benefits of E Ink screens. With E Ink technology, you will never squint in sun to read notifications on your glossy screen.

Except battery saving and comfortable reading, InkCase is able to perform several other tasks. It can work separately without a smartphone. Without turning the power-hungry smartphone display on, you can use this second screen to check recent photos, accept incoming calls, receive SMS and social network messages, control music and track your workout progress.
